“It's not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.”

A day after April Fools. Sunny day of April 2, 2016 – the family of Vixen, Daryl, Ryuu, Pau, John, Mark, Olli, James and CJ together with Dani, Francis, Jeff, Kaye and TL Wilson went to visit the kids at Bahay Tuluyan; a total of 13 Santa-like volunteers who brought joy and love plus pre-loved clothes and toiletries to the little girls in Victoria, Laguna.
We were told that the shelter in Laguna is dedicated for the girls whom they rescued from Manila. In there, they’re helping the kids to recover from their bad experiences by making them feel loved, the security of a home, teaching them their basic human rights and a name for each and every one of them. While having a name seems like a usual thing for us, but for the kids, that is essential for their identity.
We prepared a lot of activities which involves team work for the kids and our team. A newspaper dance, a disabled relay and fish ball, squid ball, quekiam cooking for snacks that the kids enjoyed.
The team also rented a photo booth that the kids enjoyed. While we’re waiting for each other’s turn, some of the guys played with the kids – teaching them how to use the camera that we’ve brought, how to focus, shoot photos, and even magic tricks which amused the kids.
It was a day filled with fun and gratitude – make us think of the things that we might be taking for granted. The whole team went home with a happy heart and will definitely be back soon.
