“Allow the way to your great work to be guided by your service to others.” - Mollie Marti
Axiem Corporation is a strong advocate of giving back to the community and, as such, schedules a monthly visit to provide support at a children’s shelter in Victoria, Laguna called Bahay Tuluyan (BT).
In August 2016, the team of eager Axiem volunteers consisted of TL Luz, Daryl from Vixen, Zia and Abby from the HR Team and others who travelled south to deliver pre-loved clothes and shoes and also essential goods such as toiletries to the children living at the shelter.
The program began with a customary opening prayer, and the volunteers introduced themselves to the children and staff at BT. The fun commenced with a Stack-up game and continued with relay games designed to promote teamwork, which the kids enjoyed! The children and volunteers then shared a delicious light lunch and chatted together.
In the afternoon, the volunteers told the story of the 3 Little Pigs with re-enactment which the children thoroughly enjoyed. After the storytelling, it was time for more games such as the marshmallow relay wherein the marshmallows are tied on a string and hang on a rod. The children had to attempt to eat the marshmallows without touching the rod.
The kids ate snacks, as the volunteers did some general housekeeping, then the children accompanied their visitors on a tour around the grounds; from the offices to gardens where the crops are planted and animal pens where poultry is housed. The children also proudly showed off their houses where they live and sleep.
We are very grateful to our employees who share the same values regarding helping those in need. Our heartfelt thanks to all of you who volunteer and we look forward to facilitating the next Axiem team visit to Bahay Tuluyan. Cheers!
We believe that every hard working employee deserves to be recognized and rewarded. Are you the next Axiem awardee?
Dress up days at Axiem is always a fun time. Employees dress up to showcase their creativity and, usually, crazy fun side.
